CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenium) is an I-III-VI compound solar cell material composed of four elements, i.e. copper (Cu), Indium (In), Gallium (Ga) and selenium (Se). CIGS forms different phases under different temperatures and component percentages. Chalcopyrite is the main type that is applicable to solar. The different percentages of the elements also change the characteristics of the semiconductor materials and light absorption attributes. CIGS solar cells can absorb a wide range of light. Its stability and light-to-electricity efficiency rate is the highest among all the thin film cell types.
